Michelle Arevalo, MD
Obstetrician Gynecologist (OB/GYN)
Dr. Michelle Arevalo loves the bread and butter of obstetrics and gynecology: developing lasting relationships with patients, seeing them through the challenges of pregnancy and menopause, and protecting them from preventable diseases. She is particularly passionate about managing abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Arevalo knows each patient’s journey is unique and she desires to make sure all of her patients feel valued, heard and informed when they come in to see her.
Dr. Arevalo was born in Bryan, Texas. She graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. After graduating, she spent five years as an officer in the Army Medical Service Corps where she was deployed to Iraq and received a Bronze Star Medal and Combat Medical Badge from that tour. During her deployment she realized her calling to be a physician and applied to medical school. She graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where she was in the AOA honor society and won the Southwestern Gynecologic Assembly medical student award in 2018. Dr. Arevalo completed her residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.
When she isn’t at the office, Dr. Arevalo enjoys writing and traveling abroad with her husband, Juan. She is excited to be moving back to Texas with her husband and their cat, Simone. They lived in Fort Worth for two years during graduate school and fell in love with the city and the people.
